So I just deiced that I am much better a scrap booking than blogging so I thought I would just post my scrapbook here. They are a little old (almost two year) but I hope to get caught up. We have been having computer problems so I am just now back up and going. Hope you like it

Birthday

So we did end up having Ellie's Birthday party. Sorry it is so late in getting pictures out. We initially planned on having it the weekend before her birthday but both Shawn and I got the stomach bug so we cancelled. We went ahead and had it at Leals the following week. I know she didn't really care but it was a fun way to get together. I just can't believe she's one!

Here is Ellie. She will be 11 months tomorrow. She is about 12 pounds which is way below the charts but just right for her. For about a week she was sleeping through the night but now she has decided that that just wasn't for her. She is such a little joy. She wakes up every morning happy as can be. She can crawl really well and is pulling up and walking with her walker. She is just so happy she can follow her brother.With her doll. She loves her dolls. She smiles and kisses them whenever she gets them.

I am so sorry I have not done a good job of posting at all! I have a million excuses but the two biggest are the cutest too! Well here is our Christmas in no particular order. We had a great and busy one. I started out my Christmas break by going to three Christmas parties in one night. First we had Shawn's work one which we got to show the kids off during. Then we went to the kids baby sitter's (Trisha) party. That was the only one I got pictures of. Trisha had another friend who does day care do the party with her so there we about 17 kids and all their families (Trisha only has 4 others besides the littles). Needless to say it was very crazy and wild. The next morning Kye and I made pancakes. I thought it would be fun to make different shape pancakes. We started off with a snowman but it got really big. So I got out my Christmas cookie cutters and poured them in there. I wasn't sure how I was going to cook the back side but they puffed up big time and I was able to just flip it and it cooked the other side. I do have to say that they were cuter than they were yummy.

Shawn and Kye at the day care party. Kye was so excited to go to McDonands. He played around the play ground but was to scared to go up it. My cautious little boy.

The rest of the time was family time. Monday and Tuesday Kye, Ellie and I just hung out and cleaned and played. Oh wait I almost had blocked it out of my memory but I finally got my scrapbook for Kye finished. I pretty much had to work on it all Sunday and Monday to get it finished. I had the biggest headache from working on it and the kids were so tired of playing in the office beside me. We got copies of it for grandparents for Christmas even thought they came in late. I will have to post it latter.

Then Tuesday we just played. Now the rest of these are out of order so just bear with me. Wednesday we had Amma, GJoe and aunt Cheezies (Candy, Joe, and Christy over for a new years meal). We had got a real good deal on some beef tenderloin Shawn and I cooked it for the first time. We also had green bean bundles, scalloped potatoes and rosemary rolls. I hate to toot my own horn but it was delish! Then we opened presents with the family and did stockings much to my protest all on Christmas eve. Then the next morning we went over to Candy and Joes to have Christmas brunch (yummy) and then Christmas meal. We just kinda took it easy and let all that food digest.

That night I took the kids to Clovis since Shawn was on call at work and couldn't leave town. Andy and Kate got to be there and it was so fun to get to see them again. We had such a good time playing games (Kate got me hooked on some new ones). We did presents there that night. Then the next day we went to Gramies for lunch. Aunt Kim was not there so there was not the big feast but we managed with out her. It seems like all the ladies in our family can really cook! Gramie also had a program with the great grand kids that were there, well not including Ellie and Gracie.

Then Sunday morning we went back to Plainview and saw Shawn and went to eat at Leals. Poor Kate and Andy said there is really no Mexican food in Minnesota.

Mom and Dad went back to Clovis Sunday after lunch and we spent the night in Plainview and got repacked again. Monday morning we left for Santa Fe via Clovis to go skiing with my parents Ben and Abby. We had a lot of fun together. Mom and Shawn part of the time kept the kids while Ben, Dad, Abby and I went skiing and Santa Fe on Tuesday. I went with Ben in the morning and we went up to the very top. He made me go down some tuff stuff (1 back). I'm sure I slowed him down a lot. There was lots of rocks and it was icy not my favorite to ski on. Then we met back for lunch and I went with Abby on a run (thought we waited much longer in the lift line than it took to go down). Then Abby had had enough so I went by myself and then with Dad some. I was exhausted by the end. I'm not a young as I used to be.

Then we drove back to Plainview on Wednesday from Glorieta (5 hours driving time) then rested at the house unpacked and repacked yet again before getting Christy and heading out to got to Denton to see Shawn's Dad.

We got in to Denton about 12 on Wednesday night. Then next day we had the big meal. You would think we would be tired of eating by not but we acted like we were starving and it was so good. Ronda even made truffles. Then Thursday we had a poker game and just had fun. Friday the it had stopped raining so Kye went with Pappy for a wagon ride and loved it. We did a little shopping while we were there and just hung out. It was a little interesting having both kids in the same room sleeping. They would both wake each other up and Kye ended up with us in our bed both nights. Saturday we went back to Plainview tired but happy and just crashed.

Glorieta

We went to Glorieta this past weekend. We had a blast. We did leave the littles at home. Kye stayed with Grandma (Candy) and Ellie stayed with Gram (Miriam). They both did good though Ellie was not quite sure at first about leaving me. Ellie woke up several times at night but grew to love her bottle. Here are some pictures of us at Glorieta. After the long ride back Ellie was happy to see her daddy. Me on the other hand she ignored. Even after calling her name she would not look at me. When I finally picked her up though she just snuggled up to me and kept rubbing her head on me. I think she missed me. She did have fun with her Abby, Gram and Pappa Dan. Kye loves going with grandma so he did great. Overall a great weekend just a little exhausting.

Getting Started

Ok so I am finally starting a blog. Several people encouraged me to do this and I think I will be able to get my Mom to get on the Internet if her "littles" (what we call Hezekiah and Eleanor) are on it. I think it will help with my journaling for my scrapbook too. Just to warn anyone who reads this I am not a good speller and not the best writer so just bare with me. Enjoy!
